I got to review a Sigma F80 Flat Top Synthetic Brush, used for the face during makeup application. The Sigma F80 Kabuki Brush is used to apply liquid or powder products to the face. I am going to list what I used the brush for and then mention how I felt about each use ... ?? Yea, something like that =]
Liquid Foundation: I had been using the MAC 187 for about ... er, 4 years now to apply my liquid foundation. I'm not going to bash my MAC brush but lets just say ... she is now my new blush brush. =]
I can't rave enough about how much I LOVE the Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki brush for liquid foundation application! The first time I used this brush, wow !!! I fell in love! I dotted my foundation on, patted it all over my face with my F80, then blended lightly. Everything fell into place in one circular motion. I had never had an easier time in my LIFE blending liquid foundation. I think I might need a backup. This brush is a MUST HAVE! I hate using my fingers and I hate brushes that allow me to blend over and over to get a smooth application. But using the Sigma F80, I swear to you, I did NOT have to blend and blend.
Mineral Powder Foundation: I hate ... no wait! I HATED powder foundation. Then I received the F80 and I had to try my hand at applying mineral foundation for shiggles and gits. I pretty much fell in love! I dipped the Sigma F80 in the jar, tapped off the excess, and went to town on my face. The blending was flawless. The Kabuki Brush picked up the exact amount needed for my face. I am totally happy that I have the PERFECT kabuki brush to apply Powder Foundation! Trust me, I have searched and tried for about 6 years with fail.
Powder Blush: Er. It was hard for me to use powder blush with this brush. I either couldn't pick up enough color or when I did swish the brush around, I got clown cheeks. So, hence why I will stick with my "new" found blush brush. MAC 187.
Cream Blush: Okay, I didn't use this with cream blush. I don't use cream blush. I should but I typically put that on my lips ... But, I am sooooo certain and pretty much excited to try this brush with cream blush.
Cream Blush Brush ... say that 10x's fast!
Needless to say, in my month of trying this brush pretty much daily with different uses, washing it, etc, I have a feeling that this would be the PERFECT cream blush brush. Tap very gently / lightly on the cream blush, dab on your cheeks, and gently blend. I swear, I think I need to buy a cream blush that is suitable now. THANKS!!! =]
Anyways, The Sigma F80 Flat Top brush is made up of Synthetic Sigmax HD Filament. I had zero problems with getting the F80 brush cleaned (baby shampoo and warm water).
Where to Buy: This brush runs you at a price of $16, which is NOT bad! So affordable and a perfect gift giver! For anybody who uses foundation and/or Blush, this brush is a MUST! Check out Sigma Beauty and order a few for yourself &/or the makeup lover in your life =] You won't regret it and we all know how much I love makeup and feel for good Makeup Artist Quality Brushes. I won't go for lower.
